Basenjis

The Basenji will weigh between 22 to 24 pounds as an adult. They are very energetic, doing best with vigorous daily walks or runs. They feature a very short coat with little to no shedding. An occasional brushing will keep their coat looking great. Basenji puppies are intelligent yet independent. They are not recommended for first time dog owners and can be destructive if left alone. They are generally good with children, but should be socialized early with other dogs and pets.
