More About ...

Cavalier King Charles Spaniels

An adult Cavalier King Charles Spaniel will weigh between ten to 18 pounds. Their silky, medium to long coats should be brushed weekly to prevent matting. This athletic breed thrives on consistent robust exercise. Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppies are affectionate and flourish in families with more than one dog. They are not recommended for families with young children. They are sometimes crossed with the Bichon Frise to create the Cavachon, or with the Poodle to create the Cavapoo.

Cool Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Fact:

Before being called the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel the breed was bred as a toy spaniel.  The dog earned popularity because it could sit on the lap.  The King’s heart was  won and before long the dog was accepted everywhere including the Houses of Parliament, compliments of the King!
