More About ...
Cocker Spaniels
An adult Cocker Spaniel will weigh 24 to 28 pounds when fully grown. They are very active, and thrive on vigorous daily walks or other exercise. Their silky, medium length coats require regular clipping as well as daily brushing. Cocker Spaniel puppies are intelligent and loyal. They do best with older, rather than younger, children. Early socialization will ensure harmony with other household pets. They may be difficult to housetrain. They are sometimes crossed with the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel to create the Cockalier, or the Poodle to yield the Cockapoo.
Cool Cocker Spaniel Fact: |
Spain is thought of as the origination for all spaniels. Until 1892 the Cocker Spaniel, the English Springer Spaniels and the Sussex Spaniels were all considered to be the same breed |
