More About ...

Pomeranians

The smallest member of the Spitz family, and adult Pomeranian will weigh a mere three to seven pounds. With an unsurpassed puffball-type coat, they need to be brushed several times a week, more during shedding seasons. They are bouncy and active, but most of their exercise needs can be met with indoor play or short walks thanks to their diminutive size. Pomeranian puppies are bold, inquisitive and playful. Some may be aggressive towards other dogs. Some may bark quite a lot. May be crossed with the Chihuahua to create the Pomchi, the American Eskimo to create the Pomimo, and the Poodle to create the Pomapoo.

Looking for Pomeranian Puppies for Sale? Make Sure They’re Right for You, First!

Are you looking for Pomeranian puppies for sale? Of course it’s important that you go for a good breeder, but you should also know what to expect from your new dog.

The American Kennel Club describes the Pomeranian as ‘buoyant in deportment, cocky, animated and commanding’. They’re a bouncy dog, without question, which is quite a common feature of small dogs. They are high-spirited and brash, and think a lot of themselves. They have the kind of attitude that would suggest that they don’t really need you! Nevertheless, they’re very loyal dogs, and not too difficult with strangers. They’re happy dogs that are happy to spend time with anybody, as long as they have been sufficiently socialized from an early stage in their life. Failure to socialize your Pomeranian puppy could see the dog becoming too shrill or sharp with strangers and other people entering your home.

For the most part, Pomeranian puppies are fine with other animals. They can play with other dogs without any real hassle or bickering.

Often you’ll find that your Pomeranian will view people who are not his owners as ‘below’ him, and will be reluctant to take orders from anybody but you.

A Pomeranian is good for you if you’re looking for a bouncy, happy, and friendly dog for the family, but they do tend to have housebreaking difficulties and heavy shedding of fur. If the features of this dog fit your needs, looking for Pomeranian puppies for sale is the right choice.
