The Siberian Husky originated in northeastern Siberia as an endurance sled dog. They are able to withstand temperatures as low as 75 degrees below zero. Compact and strong, an adult will weigh 35 to 50 pounds. They have a medium length double coat and shed constantly, shedding the under coat completely twice a year. Daily brushing is required.
