The Cavachon is a designer dog and a mix of the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and the Bichon Frise. The first Cavachons were developed in 1996 by Century Farm Puppies in Grundy Center, Iowa.

The Cavachon weighs 10 to 20 pounds and measures 12 to 16 inches.
Grooming Needs
The Cavachon’s coat is soft, thick and either loosely curled or wavy. The Cavachon’s sheds very little but their coat is nonetheless high maintenance. Depending on the consistency of their coat, the Cavachon needs a trip to the groomer every four to eight weeks for a trim. They should also be brushed a few times a week and bathed when dirty.
Like all dogs, the Cavachon also needs basic grooming. Brush their teeth, clean their ears and trim their nails on a regular basis.
