Belgian Malinois
The Belgian Malinois is a dog that a lot of people have not seen up close. This is a medium size dog that is very beautiful to look at. It's working ability is higher than most dogs. In fact, Belgian Malinoises are dogs that are made to work. They can do everything from herding, to tracking, and even police work like police dogs. If you have ever seen one of these dogs, it is more than likely you saw it on TV or you saw one of your K-9 units with one. Now, when you see this dog, you may think that it is a German Shepherd. That is why a lot of people think that they have seen this dog before, however, there are some differences between the German Shepherd and the Belgian Malinois. You will notice, after a closer look, that the bone structure is different and so is their coloring. Most people tend to notice that the ears and and head are shaped differently first. However, some people tend to think that it's just a dog that was mixed with a German Shepherd, but it is not. This is a completely different breed of dog.
Now, if you are thinking about getting this dog to be a family dog, then you will be happy to know that the Belgian Malinois is great with kids. If you have purchased Belgian Malinois for sale or Belgian Malinois puppies for sale, you have to train them to be good with kids when they are young. This is because the dog does get very protective and very jealous. Thus, if the kid runs up too fast to the master of the dog, the dog will become possessive and could bite the kid requiring to be aware of dog biting. Also, this could work much in the same way if the dog bonds close with the kid and the kid has a friend come over. The dog wants you to play with it, not your friends. Now, because this is a herding breed, you are going to notice some funny things about them. First of all, they will have a strong interest in trying to move things and, believe it or not, trying to herd other pets you have, as well as your kids! Of course, they are doing it more for fun, and not to be mean, but it does happen. If your kids are out running around the yard, the dog will start herding them together. This is just a trait that they are born with, and you can make them outgrow this with a little bit of dog obedience training. However, it is pretty funny to watch.
If you are really thinking about getting one of these dogs, then you have to note that you need to have a backyard for the dog. This is a dog that loves to be outside during the day. At the same time, you may want a big house, because they love to come inside at night. Also, the dog gets a kick out of the family sitting outside. So if you are ever having a sit-down dinner outside, expect to see the dog get pretty happy. It is going to be thrilled that you chose to come and sit down outside with it.
