More About ...

Scottish Terriers

The Scottish Terrier originated in Scotland and is considered to be the most ancient of any Highland Terrier breed. Small and muscular, an adult will weigh 18 to 22 pounds. The outer coat is coarse, while the under coat is soft and dense. They are low shedding and should be brushed at least twice a week. Some may require professional trimming. They are very fond of playing fetch, and will do so for hours. This game or other exercise is recommended every day. Scottish Terrier puppies are bold and dignified. They are smart, independent and may show aggression towards other dogs and cats if not socialized early. They do not tolerate rambunctious children.
