More About ...
Shih Tzus
The Shih Tzu was a prized pet and palace companion in China. They are the least delicate of the toy breeds, and an adult will weigh nine to 16 pounds. They have a long, dense double coat that sweeps the ground. They are considered hypoallergenic. Daily brushing is needed to keep them free of tangles and mats. This noble, proud breed enjoys daily walks and indoor/outdoor play. Shih Tzu puppies are happy and affectionate. They get along very well with children and other pets, and love to be with family. They may become destructive if left alone for long periods and are easily spoiled.
Cool Shih Tzu Fact: |

Shih Tzu Puppies for Sale: Perfect for You?
Shih Tzus are often the choice of older dog owners. The dogs are very small and generally quite easy to look after, but also provide you with the companionship you’re looking for when you get your own dog.
One of the biggest temperament traits with Shih Tzus, however, is their ‘what’s in it for me?’ attitude. The dogs can be trained but they’ll always have a mildly stubborn attitude about them! One of the great things, however, is that despite being a small dog, the Shih Tzu dog is not quite as yappy as all the other small dogs out there.
Shih Tzus may sometimes be a little standoff-ish, but they are generally friendly or polite with strangers. They’re great with other pets, however. They tend to get along with most dogs and animals. They’re particularly beneficial for the elderly, too, in that they don’t need much exercise to remain healthy.
For a small, strong, and loving dog, it’s certainly a great idea to look for Shih Tzu puppies for sale.
Shih Tzus are also popular for not shedding all that much. They aren’t hypoallergenic dogs and their fur is fairly easy to deal with. They’re a ‘wash and go’ sort of dog, only requiring to be bathed and have their hair clipped every now and again.
Do be aware, however, that Shih Tzus are notorious for being difficult to house train, but not impossible. Only if you have enough time to deal with this every day should you consider getting a Shih Tzu. If you have the time, then a Shih Tzu will be a great companion and addition to the family.
