Collies
There are a lot of breeds of dogs that people seem to know more than others, and the Collie is one of those breeds. Now, there are a lot of different types of Collies, but the most known is the Rough Collie. This type of Collie is the best known because of Lassie the TV show. Lassie was a Rough Collie, and everyone wanted a dog like Lassie when they were growing up. Of course, Collies are also a type of breeding dog that got started in Britain. Of course, as soon as you get to the United States, the most commonly talked about Collie is the Rough Collie; all the other ones are hardly known.
Now, when choosing a Collie, there are two different classes of them. There is the working class and there is the dog shows class and pet class. The working collie is very energetic and a very agile dog. This dog has some of the best stamina out of all the dogs in the world. Many Collies can run all day long and never tire. This statement holds true even when going up and down steep hills! They are super intelligent, and they are very motivated to work. They want to help out their masters in any way that they can. Of course, it's for that reason that the working Collies do not make good house pets. They need to be outside dogs that are there to work. They still want the love of a master, but they want the mental, as well as the physical, challenges of doing work. If they do not get to work or they fail at their job, they become very unhappy and some even behave badly.
When you go out to buy Collie puppies for sale or Collie for sale be careful as the pet and show Collies are very different. These types of show Collies are the Rough Collies, the Border Collies and, of course, the Smooth Collies. If you are going to get one of these dogs, you should get them as Collie puppies, that way they can grow up with your family. This bread is very trainable and more gentle than most dogs. It's a dog that you could feed dog pedigree right out of your hand, and it would never even nibble you. It's for this reason that they are so good with kids. Most people know that they are very trainable, because this is a dog that is used on TV all the time. They are so smart that they can learn parts of movies very quickly and love to work with people, but not farm work like the working Collies. This is a type of dog that is perfect for family life, and you could not choose a better dog to live with. However, they may not be as cool as "Lassie," but they are pretty close.
There are a lot of family dogs out there, but none of them are as great as the Collie. If you want a dog that is going to love and respect you, the Collie is for you. They love all people, and they even love other animals. No matter what the animal is; if it's a baby, then Collie will take care of it. People have even seen Collies raising baby cats before. Dog experts say that the Collie knows that it's not her or his puppies, but they do it, because they have a strong desire to take care of things. That is why some people call the Collie, "the mother dog."
